What works today
Ceili gives you the essentials for keeping a community conversation moving:
- Connect to a Ceili chat server with your display name and room.
- Send and receive chat messages.
- See live member-list updates from the server.
- Follow connection state, with automatic reconnection after interruptions.
Your chat, your server
Ceili is open source, so you can inspect the code and run your own server. Choose the server that fits your community and how you want to operate it. Explore the source on GitHub.
When you use a self-hosted server, private messaging stays within the infrastructure you choose to operate. Privacy depends on how that server is configured and run.
Ceili collects no personal data and does not track user activity.
